Nice to meet you,

a little more about me

I think in systems

Engineering background, means i design how everything connects, not just how it looks

Creativity has always been there

Drawing, event design, an art class that reignited everything. Design is a return, not a pivot.

I've seen how products break

Five years inside a product company watching decisions ripple through an entire operation.

Both sides of my brain

Technical enough to talk to engineers. Creative enough to push the design past the obvious.

My path
The long way around
Part 1 — The foundation
San Jose State University
2020 — Graduation
What I did
Studied industrial technology with a focus on computer electronics and networking. Designed circuits and schematics.
What I learned
Systems thinking and visual logic — how everything connects and how a system communicates itself to whoever is reading it.
Part 2 — The pivot
Gantri + Avocademy
2020 — 2025
What I did
Senior Technician at Gantri for five years working with hardware, cross-functional teams, and production at scale. Completed Avocademy UX bootcamp in 2023.
What I learned
How real product companies make decisions, where design breaks down in production, and the craft of UX — formally and on the job.
✦ where the pivot started
Part 3 — Right now
YP Communities
2025 — Present
What I'm doing
Volunteering as UX Designer — designing sign-up, onboarding, and mentorship discovery flows for real users.
What I'm learning
Working within a shared design system, collaborating across pods, and shipping for real users with real needs.
